|The Bracket Rigging Scum|
Mr. N is a character who appears in the game Divekick. Mr. N is based off of real life competitive gamer Martin "Marn" Phan and Rufus from Street Fighter IV.
Biography[edit | edit source]
Uncle Sensei may have sent Mr. N to the losers bracket, but his career ended later that day after Mr. N paid a massive sum to have the brackets rigged in his favor. Officials noticed the foul play too late, and the tournament was in such disarray that the entire event was cancelled and everyone was disqualified. Unable to afford fees for the following year, Sensei was forced into retirement. Mr. N can usually be found riding on the coattails of his best friend, upcoming Divekick superstar Dustin Weinburger, and is usually behind any sort of foul play that may occur at a tournament. Mr. N owes the mob a lot of money, and is constantly on the run.
Specials[edit | edit source]
Air: Marneto: This techinque allows Mr. N to float in the air for a short time, throwing off attackers hoping to catch him during a falling descent.
Ground: GTFO: Mr. N sprints backwards, avoiding attacks.
From the start of the round, his pillow protects him from a concussion.
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- Mr. N is based on Rufus from Street Fighter and a real life competitive gamer Martin "Marn" Phan. The accident mentioned in Mr. N's biography refers to an incident where Marn was too high to play in the tournament and fucked the brackets.
- Dustin Weinburger is a parody of a real life competitive gamer Justin Wong.
- Mr. N's neck pillow protects him from one head shot every fight, preventing him from going into the concussed state that would normally follow a headshot. However, any subsequent head shots in the fight will concuss him as normal.
- The GTFO special is animated exactly like the backdash animation of Dan Hibiki in Street Fighter IV.
