The Baz is a playable character from Divekick. He is based on Zubaz/Bullfighter, a rejected character concept sketch from Street Fighter 2.

Biography[]
The Baz has been rejected from almost every fighting league on the planet, usually because he looks too lame or his fighting style doesn’t fit in. He joins the Divekicking league as a last resort, due to their incredibly low standards. The Baz hasn’t won any money Divekicking just yet, so he is forced to take on odd jobs for mob boss Don Luo to pay his bills. He is currently tracking down Mr. N for a debt owed to the Don.
Appearance[]
Immediately noticable about the Baz is the odd leather straps around his torso. He sports a black gym shirt that seems to have the arms ripped off. Speaking of arms, he is quite buff, having muscular arms. He wears fingerless gloves with spikes to protect his hands, in the left one of which he holds the rope he uses the swing into his opponent in combat. The Baz has bright blond hair and a full beard, as well as peculiar black eye make-up resembling a mask. He wears blue pants and a broan leather belt, as well as big boots of the same color.

- Divekick: The Baz uses his whip to cling to the ceiling and travel forward in an arc. To dismount, press
. The Baz can kick twice in the air, starting a new kick at his current position when pressing 
again. - Air special: Bazkousen. The Baz stops midair and begins rotating counter-clockwise for as long as the buttons are held. Once the buttons are released, he dashes in that direction, leaving a lightning trail behind which can hit the opponent.
- Ground special: The Shocker. The Baz covers himself in electricity, becoming immobile during the move; any opponent who touches him while this is active is instantly KO'd.

- The Baz is a character created by Matt and Woolie of Super Best Friends Play, who backed the Divekick Kickstarter at the highest tier.
- His previous design featured the Fighterpedia logo, Fighterpedia being the SBFP format where The Baz first gained popularity.
- His divekick is almost identical to Taskmaster's Spidey Swing from Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, while his air special is based on Zero's Raikousen from the same game.
- His air special and divekick were originally reversed; they got swapped in the Addition Edition update of the game.
